Marcia has recently completed the VC course at the Center for Women & Enterprise. Although the name of the organization is Center for Women & Enterprise there were several males in the class. In essence, over a twelve week period we learned how to put together a presentation for Angel Investors and Venture Capital Investors.
What was particularly interesting to me were the caliber of businesses that my cohorts presented. Example: One participant has invented and patented a math game geared to school age children. He has on his team a Harvard MBA - CEO and they are in the process of securing funds to market the product. Another participant invented and patented a product to be placed in automobiles that will allow the passengers in the back to hear the conversations in the front without the driver having taking his/her eyes off the road. A cohort that traveled from Providence to the Boston class location is seeking funding to expand her already $5,000,000 grossing business. Plus there were so many more.
The highlight of the class was actually preparing our presentations for the Angel Investors and/or those who chose to present to the Venture Capital Investors.
My interest in taking the class was to enhance the quality of my presentations at my original, "How to Buy that Existing Business", seminars.
If you are seeking funding from Angel Investors or Venture Capital firms please feel free to call me for nay assistance you may need.
